Wednesday, Oct 19 Match Day!
Updates: Trouble in Georgetown as Southwestern is down 2-0. Need to get the service receive going but small improvements across the board would also help.
Just ugh. SU takes the third set but drop the match in four. Great job by St Thomas but I may have to disown a granddaughter on that team. 🙂
The Southwestern keeps them in third in the conference behind TLU who they were equal to in losses but had played an extra match. They play this weekend with the winner moving into second (or staying in the case of TLU). If SU wins then they would have won both meetings. A TLU win puts them up 2 losses and probably secures the second seed. SU now has the same number of losses as CC but have played more matches. I don’t think St Thomas can move higher than 5th but that wins helps secure it.
Oshkosh handling Eau Claire right now. Up 2-0.
Platteville sweeps Stevens Point. Platteville is pretty good and it just goes to show how deep that conference is this year.
Whitman takes the first set off of Whitworth.
Oshkosh gets the win.
Whitworth has righted the ship. Get it. They are the Pirates. So it was a pirate ship. Man, that was funny.
Whitworth with the four set win.

Random Thoughts: This will be the fourth non-DIII match for TLU this year. They are playing a lot of matches.
The St Thomas/SU match is big for seeding. If SU wants to keep a 2nd or 3rd seed then this is a must win (almost). St Thomas wants to improve their seeding but they are probably in the conference tournament. I can’t make it down for this one but will be streaming.
Whitworth/Whitman is a rivalry match. Whitman is always tough at home and they are better this year. Whitworth has struggled at times, but they must win this to keep pace in the NWC. So, yeah, must win for Whitworth.
