Updates: Pickleball night. I’ll be missing the SU/SU match. Right now SU leads 23-22.

Lynch and VWU are tied 1-1. IWU is up 1-0.

Well, the wrong SU won that first set. Schreiner with the lead. Southwestern will have to go on without me.

Geez. You can’t lose to Schreiner and hope to get an at large bid. Southwestern will need a reverse sweep.

Back from PB. This is not going to be fun to write.

Schreiner got the sweep. All three sets close but that will probably be considered another NPI upset (team less than 5 NPI points winning). That probably means Southwestern will need to bank at least one win against Berry or Trinity to have a chance at the at-large.

Mental note to self. Get VWU ranked this week. Northwestern with another nice win. They are definitely on the upswing.

Not much else to say about these matches. The problem with being a fan of a sports team (college) is that it really hurts when they lose.

West Schedule:

Random Thoughts:

We have a couple of non-DIII matches in the West. Odds are 50/50 I’ll even know who wins that JWU match.

We have a C2C conference matchup that doesn’t count towards conference with Mary Washington and CNU.

The other match is Schreiner at Southwestern. This is one of the benefits of moving to the SAA, Southwestern can play a number of matches in state against ASC and SCAC teams. It’s actually more helpful with NPI than with the old selection system.

Nationally, some fun matches although maybe not your traditional powers. I put the current (through Monday) NPIs in for each team. Gives you an idea what is at stake.

Oh, why doesn’t Mary Washington list their Live Stats link? Just weird.
