Waka Flocka Flame-Flockaveli rEVIEW

People may find it very surprising that I took time to review this album or critique it. Let me be the first to say that Lyrically Waka Flocka Flame is probably one of the worst rappers to have ever lived. If you’re expecting lyrical scriptures from Flocka then you’re best to turn the other way because even he said so himself that he’s no lyricist or did he try to be. Whats really odd about Waka Flocka is when you look at his presentation and his style of music, You would think that he’s from the dirty south when in reality he’s a Queens bridge baby.
He’s a product of what many would feel is ignorant hip hop and he along with many of his peers today have been heavily critiqued as being disgraceful to the culture. But there’s one thing that you can’t take away from Flocka. He’s smart enough to target a core audience and knew what kind of songs that will boost more of his popularity. With Lex Luger handling the bulk of the production, He takes it back to the modern Lil Jon crunk era with hit records such as Hard in the Paint, O Lets Do It, and my personal favorite Grove Street Party which is possibly one of the best club bangers to come out in years.
Flocka feeds his core with songs such as Live By the Gun, Bussin at Em and Fuck the Industry which is a middle finger salute to the corporate suits whom he felt wanted to change or tame his image or deceive him with 380 deals. Other than that, Theres nothing else really surprising or groundbreaking about Flockaveli. This album does have its bangers and its good for club rotation but sometimes thats not what it’s entirely all about.
