Verastile Blogger, Really?

“What, for me? you shouldn’t have.”

During my blogs infancy, which was primarily composed as a sanctuary, where my  contentious cynicism and desperation of various annoyances could be colorfully dispersed. With articulated wit and sophisticated impartiality at my disposal, I sought to analytically inspect with delicate precision, coupled with apprehensive diligence to adequately, without premeditated favoritism, construct well conceived opinion based, facts. Sadly these preconceived intentions can sometimes degenerate into incoherent, often juvenile babble, ordinarily associated with my 4-year-old niece, when chocolate cake is desperately cached just out of her grasp, (though that is one wise head perched across that audacious neck of hers, far exceeding her years).

But I digress, with increasing incoherency, and deviating from the purpose of this post; I, beyond all conceivable comprehension, and godly intervention have received a nomination for “The Versatile Blogger Award”, courtesy of long time commenter, “NaughtyNefarious”, whom I would implore everyone who isn’t already doing so, to follow, regardless of my obvious favoritism. Needless to say, that this prestigious nomination was woefully unexpected and in my humble opinion, grossly unwarranted, but never the less deeply appreciated. Though this nomination does come with certain fulfillment that must be satisfied:

1. Thank the person who bestowed you with the nomination.

2. Display a link to their blog.

3. Select 15 bloggers of your choice, who you feel deserves the same honour, due to their contributions and achievements.

4. Include a link to the 15 lucky recipients.

5. Finally, tell the individual who nominated you, 7 things about yourself.

Hopefully I’ve fully appraised the situations and all the intricacies involved, and I haven’t descended into misinterpreted chaos?!

So I owe my good fortune to one “totaloverdose” of http://totalovrdose.wordpress.com/

Thank you very much for this recognition, it is greatly appreciated.

Next, how to fairly decide who deserves this honour? With much deliberation, whittling down just 15 bloggers was a contentious proposition to adhere to; due to the acquisition of such a prodigious myriad of  intelligent, witty, and if I maybe so bold as to say, sexy attributes exhibited by my followers. But here are my 15 candidates for the VBA’s:

6. Gary Smith of http://vortexeffect.net/

9. therealtingle and soveryaary of http://nerdgirlsirl.wordpress.com/

14. know your gaming of http://knowyourgaming.wordpress.com/

Now for the 7 things about myself, well….

First rule of Fight Club is; you do not talk about Fight Club….wait, sorry.

1. I’m a gamer. Have been since I was about 4, when I became hugely susceptible to a little blue hedgehog and his accelerated antics. My favourite games are; the Uncharted series, Ratchet & Clank, the GTA series , Red Dead Redemption, the original TMNT’s, sensible soccer, the Resident Evil series and many more that currently escape my attention.

2. I like a cool, refreshing, alcoholic beverage, particularly on the rare occasions the sun decides to make an appearance.

3. I’m a keen reader. Some of my favourites include; High Fidelity, Nineteen Eighty Four, the Sherlock Holmes collection, the works of Edgar Allen Poe, American Psycho, Room, Howls Moving Castle and many others. I am currently reading A Game of Thrones.

4. My second toe is longer than my big toe.

5. I’m a huge TV and film aficionado; 24, House, the Big Bang Theory, The Simpsons, My Name Is Earl, Alien, Aliens, One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest, Jack Nicholson films in general, Spirited Away, anything by Studio Ghibli really. Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption, Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice and many others besides.

6. I love to rock! Slipknot, Slayer, Korn, DevilDriver, Fear Factory, Queen, Muse (prior to Black holes), Pantera, Lamb of God, Ted Maul, Engel, MachineHead, Celldweller and many more I’m sure your unfamiliar with.

7. I still believe that one day I will be Spider-man…..Hey! It could happen?

I have never required validation from my peers for my work, but it’s still a satisfying sentiment. Thanks for all the support I’ve been blessed with since I started.
