VB Cryptoquotes
I like puzzles, things that make me think, thus the various word scrambles, crosswords, and stuff I’ve been doing over the past six(!) weeks. I realized this morning–there’s one sort of brain exercise I hadn’t done yet…cryptoquotes.
Cryptoquotes are where you get a quote by somebody, but it’s in a code. Once you figure out bits of the code, you have clues for other words until eventually you reveal everything. One example could be:
To be or not to be –except it gets written as “Sn ad nq mns sn ad” …every letter is actually one forward of what it should be. Got it? The answers will be in a comment following the blog.
Here are five cryptoquotes for you to try. They are not necessarily by volleyball coaches, but all are relevant to coaching young people.:
“Hspx uif hbnf uphfuifs.” –Kpio Lfttfm
“Tllw xlzxsrmt rh tllw gvzxsrmt.” –Qlsm Dllwvm
“Cqi sih cu luelqowp ob tudi. Oc’b wuc swuftimpi ewm oc’b wuc mobloxtowi.” –Meku Bfiiwih
“Nula toqa sgus saul laljaqz rmiv sgax uqa viqremf vesg xio, mis diq xio.” –Higm Viicam
“Lxzlsryh wjunrggjk nj gx sjow wjowoj zlsrjej txnjgsryg. Gszg’t dsb R krk rg.” –Gxn Ozykub
