Vaudeville Evidence in an Unexpected Place

Just passed this on my lunch break. Evidence of vaudeville? What? Where?

It just so happens that this little pocket of Brooklyn used to be known as Albee Square, because it was built up around the E.F. Albee Theatre. Built in 1925, it was a flagship big time vaudeville house for a time, then became an RKO cinema circa 1929, when the Keith-Albee circuit became part of RKO. Learn more about the theatre here.

At any rate, how many people who get their teeth fixed here have even a clue? It’s okay, I’m sure they’re very nice people, even if they don’t brush or floss.
