Last Saturday’s away match against Nottingham Wildcats away (we won 90-61) was the first time I started the performance analysis process from start to finish.  It was a worthwhile experience for many reasons including:

1.  s – I did practice on the Friday afternoon to set everything up.  Also I had to learn how to do player minutes properly.

2.   – in a world of numbers and statistics, they are people and not just shirt numbers.  It was also helpful that by knowing them, it was easier to recognise them in the video for coding purposes (I knew that from volleyball though).

3.   – after being told off by Darrell, there was no way I was going to let the equipment out of my sight.

4. – firewire cable didn’t work (I did notice on Friday but I thought I had it sorted).  Also, I only realised I should press the record button on the camcorder about 30 seconds till the tip-off.  If all else fails, at least get it on tape!  And I almost didn’t!

5.   – it is seriously awesome!  Anybody got £2000 spare?

6. this was despite the fact that I had 2 presentations to prepare for that Monday.

I am always learning baby!
