This time we visited Fushimi Inari Taisha during the day. I have always found the bright red attractive, but in the day it was particularly striking. It did look a bit more orange than red though. I can’t decide which I like better. I can say that I think I like the atmosphere of viewing this shrine at dusk more. Seeing the shrine itself is certainly easier in the daytime.

There can however be lots of people and it gets crowded very fast. As a result, I recommend going early in the morning if you want to see Fushimi Inari Taisha during the day.
