Unique Careers Advice

Enda Barron, Head of Performance Analysis at Cardiff FC, gave me some advice to improve my chances of being successful in this career:

Experience is essential. You’ll need to find a club that will allow you to come in and work for free etc with them. Get some experience listening to coaches, understand how they talk and work etc

The first two sentences just confirmed something I knew I would have to go through.  There is no shortcut in logging those analysis hours.  However, it was the third sentence that I didn’t anticipate.  It was the kind of advice that you could only get from those who have been there and done that.  It is that kind of unique insight that will help prepare me for the challenges ahead of me.
