Physicality is unquestionably an advantage for Fayetteville, Pennsylvania native, Tyler Collier. At 6’8” and 240 pounds, the Chambersburg Area High School graduate has a heck of a frame. It’s been helpful in both the game of basketball and football as Collier starred for the Trojans in both sports.

A former Mr. Basketball nominee in high school, Collier stuck with this sport at the college level as he’s now a key player for the Flagler College Saints, a Division II program in Saint Augustine, Florida. The Saints qualified for the NCAA Tournament this past season, with Collier finding playing time in 26 of the team’s contests in their 21-win season. He also helped the team make the NCAA Tournament in his second college season as well as a Peach Belt Athletic Conference crown.

More of Collier’s accolades from his playing career include being name a two time All-Mid-Penn selection, a All-Mid Penn Commonwealth honoree, and helping the Trojans to the state tournament in basketball as a junior and senior.

The business administration major has carved his own path in college athletics as his father, Ron Johnson, played Division II football for Shippensburg University and later for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Through three college seasons and two more left to play, Tyler Collier has played in 70 games, scored 174 points, and grabbed 109 boards for one of the top Division II programs in the country. It’s been a solid start to his college basketball career, but there’s plenty left for the central Pennsylvania product.
