Tuesday, September 25 Match Day
Update:
I don’t know who Ouacita is but they have done bad things today.
UMHB handles McMurry easily in straight sets. The Cru seem set on an NCAA bid this year.
UTT takes the first set against UTD.
ETBU takes set three but trail LETU 2-1. UTD avoids the sweep but are down 2-1 to UTT. Concordia sweeps Schreiner.
Big win for LETU as they take down ETBU in the fight for the second spot in the ASC East Division.
Louisiana College gets another win taking down Centenary in 5-sets.
CMS sees the return of Regan Dinovitz as the 2017 starter at MB plays her first match of the season. Oh, and CMS sweeps Caltech.
Oxy and La Verne going 5-sets.

Random Thoughts:
(I’m having to write this almost a week ahead of time due to my real-life schedule…so forgive me if something no longer makes sense.)
UMHB / McMurry should be a treat. McMurry really needs to win as many matches as it can from UMHB, UTT and UTD as they are their best chance to improve their SOS and positioning in the West Region.
In the other ASC Division, UT-Dallas plays at UT-Tyler in another important match. This one doesn’t really matter in for West Regional ranking but it does for SOS and national recognition.
ETBU at LeTourneau is a battle for the second spot in the division. Playing at home, I expect the Yellow Jackets to come out strong.
In the SCIAC, I like the Cal Lutheran / Whittier match-up. Remember only 4-teams make the SCIAC Tournament. Dropping a match here puts the loser at a big disadvantage.
