LETU up 1-0 on Centenary and about to go 2 up. They just have to get this last point which they have struggled with at the end of the second set.

Whitworth is going to make easy work of Whitman tonight. It always seems like Whitman takes a set in these matches. Lauren Kremer coming up huge here hitting over 0.600 midway through the 3rd set.

In the Mary Washington match, Sydney Aiken had 2 aces and 17 digs in just 3 sets. LETU had a nice night from Nora Lockhart but since they cleared the bench, some love to Grace Talkington who played one set and had 3 assists.

UPS/PLU has started. I doubt I’m here when it ends. Updates tomorrow, if not.

Tomorrow…Well, Puget Sound looks like they’ve declared that the NWC is a two-team race between them and Whitworth. They get the sweep over PLU. Makela Pick with 11 kills hitting 0.625 in this one. Randi Rush with 38 assists.

Random Thoughts:

It’s the (hot) wife and mine’s anniversary today. We’ll be travelling back from our vacation tomorrow. 36 years in the books. Can anyone out there beat that?

Some non-DIII matches in the C2C tonight.

Mary Washington get the Eastern Mennonites. These are not the Mennonites to worry about. Now, the Northern Mennonites…those are the problem.

Centenary and LETU will play their first SCAC match of the season.

In the NWC, we have two Washington matches for you. Whitman drives over to Whitworth for their first rivalry dust up while Pacific Lutheran drives over to Puget Sound for theirs. Theirs is called the Battle for the Sound. Does Whitman/Whitworth have a name for theirs? May I suggest the Battle of the two schools that my (hot) wife can’t tell apart?
