Updates: I just published Region Leaders so be sure not to miss that. I also will come out with the AVCA Top 25 around 2 pm today.
Haverford gets the sweep bit that wasn’t easy.
JWU wins in 4. Not sure what I saw but Bob Jones got the sweep here.
Marietta won in a pretty easy sweep. Still a little surprising that Denison beat Hope.
Down goes Dubuque! Edgewood with the sweep. Big win for the Eagles. NPI has that as an upset as there was about a 6 NPI difference. It was a sweep but each set was a 2 pointer.
In Ozarks first DIII match in their history, they go down in defeat 3-1. Arianna Gomez had 11 kills in a losing cause. Cristen Cleveland had 13 for Lyon.
ETBU gets the sweep but the box score is messed up. Hopefully the link below will get updated.
Rhodes sweeps Belhaven. Meg Gebhart with 4 kills, 2 aces and 15 kills.
Sewanee destroys Wesleyan. They reached double-digits in a set just once. Savannah Gann with 7 kills.
Redlands is about to sweep Westcliff. Lily Kautai with 13 kills and 11 digs so far.
Linfield off to a fast start and a big lead in set one. Pacific is hitting negative.
I talk about NPI and ripples. With Dubuque losing, they will obviously drop in NPI. But that will also impact negatively Calvin and Northwestern who have losses to Dub. They will drop a bit and teams that played them will drop a bit. Of course, the reverse is true for those that have played Edgewood. Ripples.
Linfield gets their sweep. Nora Myre with 12 kills and 14 digs. Redlands also finished their sweep.
I’m missing some boxes. I’ll update when I can.
National Games to Watch:

West Schedule:
Bob Jones 3 JWU (NC) 0Ozarks 1 Lyon 3ETBU 3 Centenary 0Belhaven 0 Rhodes 3Wesleyan (GA) 0 Sewanee 3Westcliff 0 Redlands 3 Linfield 3 Pacific 0
Random Thoughts:
Looking nationally first, we have Eastern playing Haverford. Each team with one loss and trying to get into that place where they are seriously considered for the Top 25. The Denison/Marietta match should go Marietta’s way but remember that Denison did beat Hope so who knows if lightning strikes twice? In the third match, it’s Dubuque trying to continue their roll. They should do it but Edgewood is a good team so watch out for an upset here.
In our matches, the big one for us and the nation is the Ozarks game. This will be their first DIII match in their history.
ETBU/Centenary will be ugly. ETBU shouldn’t even bring their starters.
There are a couple of non-DIII matches on the docket.
The NWC will have their second conference match of the season with Linfield and Pacific. These two teams should be pretty close.
