Tuesday, Oct 25 Match Day!

Updates: Babson sure is struggling.

Austin College got the win tonight so it’s 700 for Coach Ed Garza. Congratulations!

McMurry looking good at LETU. Up 2-1. HSU has taken a set off of UTD but look to be in trouble in the fourth set.

McMurry for the win. Lexi Miller had a triple-double (11 kills, 23 assists and 14 digs).

Has CMS always had announcers? We have some production value tonight. I mean I know the announcers are a rare event. Just shocked me when I turned this match on. Brenna Bell is not dressed for this one. Hope all is okay there.

All of the favorites in the SCIAC tonight are going for the sweep. Only Pomona-Pitzer remains at this point.

Pomona-Pitzer completes the late match sweeps. I get my sleep it looks like.

Random Thoughts: We’ve got ASC and SCIAC conference matches on the schedule.

HSU would love to get a win against UTD, which would help secure a conference tournament spot. Concordia is playing HPU so you have to think that will be a win and they need to keep pace. McMurry/LETU is huge and almost a must win for McMurry.

The top 4 teams are known in the SCIAC so it’s really about seeding. Each of the four are playing against non-top four opponents. The toughest match is probably Chapman at Pomona-Pitzer. CMS has Whittier but it’s at home and I see no way for the Poets to win this. (That’s it. CMS is doomed.)

The Austin College match wouldn’t normally get a mention as they are playing a non-DIII school but if the ‘Roos win then it gives Coach Ed Garza his 700th win as a head coach and 650th at Austin College.
