Tuesday, Oct 11 Match Day!

Updates: Added the links for the Emory/Berry match. I really think I have Emory ranked too high and Berry too low but that’s how the matches and schedule have played out. Berry at home should be tough so an Emory win would be impressive to me.

Berry destroyed Emory in set one.

Good crowd and atmosphere propels Berry to an easy sweep over Emory.

ETBU sweeps LETU. Surprised LETU didn’t get a set tonight.

Another triple-double for Annika Canaba but Sul Ross State is losing 2-1 and losing the fourth.

Austin College playing tough against UTD but the Comets lead 2-1.

Geez. CMS had 21 kills and 23 Points in the first set against Redlands. They hit 0.500.

Minor league stuff by CMS, says La Verne. They hit 0.522 in the first set against Chapman.

Chapman comes back and it looks like this match will be the problem child tonight. Pomona-Pitzer, Caltech and CMS are up 2-0 or soon will be.

I saw a note that CMS has won 40 straight SCIAC matches including tournament games. Geez.

Pomona-Pitzer gets a relatively easy sweep over Whittier. Not surprised they won…surprised it was that easy.

La Verne closes out Chapman in four. Go to bed.

Random Thoughts: The ASC and SCIAC are in play tonight with one crossover between Austin College and UT-Dallas.

The Sul Ross State/UMHB match is really important to both teams but SRS could use the win more.

ETBU/LETU is a big rivalry match that was won away by LETU earlier this season.

In the SCIAC, the big match is probably Whittier/Pomona-Pitzer. Two teams fighting for probably one spot in the conference tournament.
