Toronto Tempo

Toronto was announced as the next team to join the WNBA. Now they have a logo and team name announcement.

They have decided to become the Toronto Tempo.

It’s an alright name, I guess. I don’t love it, but I don’t really hate it. It just doesn’t feel like it’s as exciting as they make it out to be in the release. Plus, if they are supposed to be connected to the Toronto Raptors this has nothing to do with their name. It almost seems like they’re trying to be trendy and it’s coming off as try hard.

The logo is pretty basic too. It’s a basketball with motion lines and then the wording for Toronto Tempo. I do like the colors though they look sharp.

I would give the name and logo both a grade of C. Very average all-around choices.
