Tomorrow: Frank Capra, Ben Model, and Harry Langdon Converge at the Cinema Arts Center

This one is just for New Yorkers and Long Islanders. Tomorrow (August 19, 2025) the Cinema Arts Center in Huntington, L.I. will be showing the first feature film directed by Frank Capra, starring silent comedian Harry Langdon, with live musical accompaniment by the one and only Ben Model. The picture of course is The Strong Man (1926), just a few months shy of its 100th birthday. It’s got everything: World War One, the circus life, and my distant cousin Priscilla Bonner as the love interest! There’s more! My original 2014 post on The Strong Man is here.

And info and tix on the screening at the Cinema Arts Center are here.
