Thursday, Sep. 16 Match Day!

Updates: McMurry in 4-sets. Three are 2-point margins with two going extras.

As of Friday morning, nothing on the Oxy/WCB match. The WCB website doesn’t list the match but it appears on Oxy and the NCAA scoreboard. I don’t see any video on it, either. If anyone knows anything, let me know.

Forgot to check IG! Oxy with the sweep!

Random Thoughts: Today’s cover photo is McMurry’s senior setter Myranda Salcedo.

Not much on the schedule on what typically is an off day for volleyball in the West. Schreiner/McMurry should be a good one with Schreiner trending upwards in my mind and McMurry going through a stumble right now. Typically this would be a McMurry win but really have no way of knowing how this one will come out. Two players to watch in this one would be Schreiner’s Kayla Lofland, who is off to a hot start, and McMurry’s Kaylie Vasil. If Vasil keeps her attacking errors down then the War Hawks will be tough to beat.

Occidental plays West Coast Baptist and the only interesting things I have to say is that WCB is playing their first match and the only one they get at home. To get on Oxy’s case just a bit…you have no direct link to your statistics page. After I figured it out, you only have two matches recorded.
