thevolleyballanalyst In Action | Women’s Basketball National Cup Finals 2012

It’s a bit late to report it but UWIC Archers did make it to the Women’s National Cup Finals and I was there, with others, as an analyst.  It was probably my biggest gig to date.  I saw two photos just now and I wanted to show it.   The top photo was taken by Tin Lee (link here) and you can seen me at the back standing in maroon with the video camera.  The bottom photo was taken by myself and posted on Facebook (link here).  I think both photos together is pretty cool.

As for the day itself, since I was filming I couldn’t really get into the emotion of the match because I was concentrating being a cinematographer (framing, panning, zooming etc.) and capturing.  Today was not the day to mess up!

In the end, we lost to Sheffield Hatters 65-56 (link here) despite beaten them earlier in the season (albeit by one point).  It was a shame but there is the league to focus on anyway.  We should be able to top the league and then we’ll see what happens in the play-offs.
