The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019)

Continuing the story of Max and his pet friends, following their secret lives after their owners leave them for work or school each day.

This sequel is not all that entertaining or interesting, due to a dull premise. As an adult, I did not find this funny, and some scenes were more like a cartoon than an animated feature. ‘Pets 2’ is definitely more for a young audience. I found it more stupid than funny, actually. The Bunny was also very annoying.

The farm scenes were a bit more interesting and I found Rooster by far the strongest (and most interesting) character. The rest of the characters were annoying. The final act was so fu@#!ing stupid! The film offered nothing cute and certainly none of the pets were adorable. Ugh, this is so forgettable.

The film was still a box office success, earning $413 million, but that’s more than half of the $875 million the first film raked in.
