The Purge (2013)

Director: James DeMonaco

Starring: Ethan Hawke, Lena Headey, Max Burkholder

A wealthy family is held hostage for harboring the target of a murderous syndicate during the Purge, a 12-hour period in which any and all crime is legal.

I never wanted to see this because the very idea of the purge is idiotic. What besieged me to finally watch it, I’ll never know, but this is a movie I’d like to unsee.

So, one night of the year crime is allowed – even murder (???!!) Seriously?? Police services will also not be available (???!!!). One of the characters says “Think about all the good the purge does.”. Really??? What good?? This is beyond stupid and just ridiculous!

Wow, the characters make the stupidest mistakes. NOTHING here is believable, or remotely entertaining. This is not my idea of being entertained. ‘The Purge’ is a disgusting movie that should never have been made. I HATED every minute of this f@cking movie!! No, make that every second. This is by far one of the worst movies I’ve ever had to endure. How the bloody hell did this become a box office hit???

Would I watch it again? Ugh, NO, NO, NO!!!
