The power of a small sketchbook

Hi friends! I find myself with so much to do this time of year that sometimes I get overwhelmed, freeze, and do nothing. Has that happened to you? It’s especially frustrating when you actually have time set aside to make art and you can’t decide what you want to make. This is how I discovered the power of a small sketchbook. Rather than fretting about what to make on a big, expensive canvas or sheet of paper, you can work out ideas small.

This small sketch can be turned into a larger painting, or you can get the idea out of your system and decide you don’t want to explore it further. Either way, you have something to show for your time, and you have gotten some practice in!

Just a reminder that I am offering 50% off Handpainted Holiday! I Just Added NEW projects for 2024!
