The Math Center
If you’re struggling to cope with university’s callous imposition of a “Quantitative Reasoning” GE, or just want to keep current with the dynamic and ever-changing world of math and math-related things, then the Math Center is the place for you. It is located in Kaprielian Hall 263 (for those of you who have never heard of that building, it’s waaaaaay on the Vermont side of campus near the engineering quad) and, in the words of its website, “If you want help with your math classes this is the place to come!” (exclamation point included). The Center is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. It’s designed as a fabulous group study space, with the added benefit of graduate students, faculty and assistants, all of whom possess the knowledge you need to complete your homework assignments. It’s run informally on a drop-in basis, so stop by the next time you’re saddled with a really tough math project or visit their website for more information.
