I can only predict…Any of the following: Greta Gerwig, Christopher Nolan,
Some of these were very close calls. I think the 1920’s was the only slam dunk. But there was one director whose movies both age like fine wine and whose ability to create classics seems to be the most consistent throughout the decades. This is despite the fact that he is not the director of any decade above.
And the Director of the Century is…

MARTIN SCORSESE
There was only one vote per nominee, so I picked a winner. Mainly on the basis that I can’t see it ever winning any other time.
Congratulations . This is your week.

My Top 10 Scorsese Movies:
The King of Comedy (1982)
Casino (1995)
The Last Temptation of Christ (1988)
The Departed (2006)
The Aviator (2004)
Mean Streets (1973)
Gangs of New York (2002)
Hugo (2011)
Wolf of Wall Street (2010)
Goodfellas (1990)
James, you are correct. The greatest of Scorcese’s movies (imho) is Goodfellas, which I didn’t include the week, nor six years ago when he was the theme. I kinda thought it would be too easy of a win, but at the same time, if it got only one vote (you), that would simply ruin my week.
