Is drinking a sin? No.

Can some drinking be permissible? Sure.

Is there a sin that involves the consumption of alcohol? Yes, it is called drunkenness.

Should Christians drink alcohol? It is unwise to make it a regular pattern of your life.

Why is it something to be concerned about? The testimony of the Gospel in our lives should be at the forefront of our reputation, our Facebook photos, our blogs, our social events, etc. and not what alcoholic beverage we are drinking now.

Alcohol kills millions of people each year. It destroys marriages, ruins job, alienates families and takes lives. Is it worth it, O Christian, to drink and drink some more?

Thank you reading by series on alcohol and the Christian. I welcome your critiques, additions, debates, etc.

P.S. Now, before you label me a legalist (And if you know me personally. you know I am not legalistic.), let me say this: I have had alcohol before in my life and did not feel guilt for sinning. I would label myself as an abstentionist – someone who thinks drinking alcohol is permissible but not wise for the professing Christian due to the many who would be offending by such a practice or the walking closer to sin that one participates in by drinking regularly.
