The unusual practice of photographing dead relatives during mid-1800s rural Russia will link a Philology student with her husband’s abysmal family history.

Wow, quite wonderful, actually. The film was really creepy, not just because of what happens, but also because of the premise. The contrast between the old and new in a modern world is great, adding to the creepiness. This is the story of a family curse and an innocent bride that could break the curse, wonderfully acted by Victoria Agalakova. Her husband, Ivan (Victor) is not really a strong character and it seems the film does just great without him. Bride Nastya (Victoria) is the star and hero of the film. The visual effects and make-up are very good and quite scary, too. This is a classic 80s style horror.
