The 2024 Blog Recap

For 2023, that’s here…and if you follow the links, you can go all the way back to the start.

2024 didn’t see as much written for a number of reasons. First was that the Dietz Foundation was pretty busy. After that, it was a different writing project–trying to write a poem each day using specific forms…and then, having taken a full-time job to boot as a D2 VB coach.

Another large one is that while I like writing about history and politics–politics is exhausting because few people want to learn, fewer still want to consider the possibility that they could be wrong or that decisions that were once good are now bad–or vice-versa.

Related to that–I’ll make posts public and then people argue based on the post photo or title, never actually reading what I wrote but insisting they know what I meant. That is tiring to deal with.

The last one is the one that sucks–I always try (and will always remain) open about what I believe and sharing the path I’ve taken in life. The past eighteen months (the past five especially) use that in various ways to try and damage either the Foundation or the program I coach. I am indescribably sad about that though I know it says much more about those people than it does about me. In any event–2024’s posts:
