Diana Turasi is retiring from the WNBA after 20 seasons.

She retires as the WNBA all-time leading scorer with 10,646 and averaged 18.8 points per game. She’s also won three WNA championships with the last one coming in 2014 where she was also finals MVP.

The top pick in the 2024 draft was also a 14-time all- WNBA team member with 10 of those selections on the first team. She’s also been an all-star 11 times and started in each of those all-star games.

In addition to the success in the WNBA Turasi has won six Olympic gold medals, which makes her the only athlete with six golds in basketball. in Olympic history. She has also had success in the Eueroleague with six championships and three MVP of the Eueroleague final four.

Tough to see such a talented athlete leave the sport. Yet it was an impressive run for Taurasi over 20 seasons. If she isn’t already in a hall of fame, or two I could see her as a first ballot hall of famer.
