Ringwood Best Bitter (England: Bitter: 3.8% ABV)

Visual: Just slightly cloudy. Colour rises from a light yellow at the base to a strong orange. Light brown white froth which sticks around to form a firm head.

Nose: Light vanilla, sweet cream.

Body: Light smooth cream, but the bitter edge comes through quickly. Hops but not much at all. Some light taste of wood.

Finish: Hops finally come through, dry feel on the tongue. Bread crust. Slight creamy orange.

Conclusion: A light and not overly complex beer. Visually quite compelling but the flavour does not follow. The dry aftertaste does not encourage repeat pints, Overall quite disappointing.
