Tasting Notes: Arbor : Oyster Stout

Arbor Oyster Stout (England: Stout : 4.6% ABV)

Visual: Thick black with a thin creamy head.

Nose: Slightly oily, very creamy coffee and fish oil.

Body: Light initially, bitter charred wood back. Fish in batter. Chalky, fresh. Slightly oily but only just. Barley and roasted nuts.

Finish: Dry dusty and bitter chocolate, real charcoal lasting feel. Grain and slight floral.

Conclusion: Whilst not perfect this beer tends towards the rarity that is a decent session stout. Light oilyness and slow building flavour gives it the character of a good beer to appreciate over a few pints.

Pretty decent.
