Tasting Note: Loddon:Ferrymans Gold

Loddon Ferryman’s Gold (England: Golden Ale: 4.4% ABV)
Visual: Bright bronzed amber with small bubbles around the edge instead of an actual head.
Nose: Sweet, slight orange nature and has a strong forceful nose. Sharp and some crushed peel.
Body: Light and sweet, very citrus, hint of lemon and lime. Ice cream flavour at the back. Orange again.
Finish: Dry hops, sweet streaks dash across. Balanced.
Conclusion A full sharp character defines this beer, as do great citrus notes. Not lacking in flavour or character. No element pushes it to the top spot in ales but you cant deny its enjoyable.
This isn’t ferryman’s gold you would fight the reaper to keep, but you might consider slyly asking if he would be willing to share a pint.
