Tasting Note: Daleside: Old Leg Over

Daleside Old Leg Over (England: Bitter: 4.1 ABV)
Visual: Ruddy cheeked reddish brown, thick creamy brown head. The beer takes a short while to settle.
Nose: Light malt nose with a touch of sweetness hinted at, maybe honey noticeable on a deep breath.
Body: Creamy, whipped egg whites with sugar dancing at the very edges. A full maltiness on main body with a slight hint of bitter at the back of the throat. Butterscotch.
Finish: Dry airy hops, smooth sheen and sweet almonds.
Conclusion:
A lovely session pint, not overpowering but flavorsome. A good malty smooth and slightly sweet beer. It won’t come up to much when held under long examination, but its taste, balance and lower alcohol make it perfect for an evenings light drinking.
I’d definitely advise getting your old leg over tonight.
