Task 2: Mind Map

Before deciding upon a certain path for my A2 Coursework, I decided to create a quick mind map to consider all of my options.

I titled each stem of the mind map after the four briefs and brainstormed some ideas. I also listed some codes & conventions and well-known institutions of each in order to consider what a music/short film/documentary/film promotion pack is comprised of.

I also contemplated the resources I would have available to me as I thought that this was an important consideration to see how feasible my ideas were.

To create my mind map, I used bubbl.us.

Having thought through my options, I am leaning towards the music promotion package brief as I think this would interest me most.

My initial ideas for a music video include:

• A simplistic pop ballad video

• Scenic location

• Simple costume
