Task 1: Camerawork Project

In order to refresh my knowledge of the camera shots and angles studied in the past year for the exam component of the AS Level, I teamed up with some of my class mates to produce a quick video showcasing all of the camera shots and angles we had learned.

We set up a shared document using Google Docs and created a script for the video’s voiceover. In our script we discussed the following shots: low/mid/high angle, extra/close up, track, pan, over the shoulder, dual shot, establishing shot, wide shot and a P.O.V. shot. We also came up with a description for each shot, making comment on their purpose.

If we were to complete this task again, I would improve my organisational skills. We had initially intended to present our ideas in a talk show format, however, due to time constraints, we simply used voiceover to play over each shot instead. This concept would have been much more engaging for our audience.

Overall, we managed to produce a fairly successful video which informs the viewer about a variety of different camera shots and angles.
