Director: Aleksey Sidorov

Starring: Alexander Petrov, Irina Starshenbaum, Viktor Dobronravov

In 1944, a courageous group of Russian soldiers managed to escape from German captivity in a half-destroyed legendary T-34 tank. Those were the times of unforgettable bravery, fierce fighting, unbreakable love, and legendary miracles.

Wow, what an incredible film! I first saw Alexander Petrov in ‘Attraction’, and fell in love with this actor. He doesn’t disappoint and really shines in ‘T-34’. I enjoyed the entire cast and rooted for all the characters, even the antagonist.

‘T-34’ takes slow motion photography to an entire new level. Fair enough, most of it is CGI, but it blends stunningly with reality resulting in an awesome viewing experience. The photography and cinematography is equally impressive. This is a wonderful story, and emotional journey for everyone who’ve had to endure the war. The film even has room for a romance interested, and it works pretty well in this film.

The film’s first 35 minutes is an incredible cat and mouse game between tanks, with stunning action and suspense. From there the film builds its characters and we really get to like them and feel their anticipation, their longing for freedom, and burning desire for revenge. It is a highly effective, beautiful action thriller.

In Russian.
