Szekely Zoja petition. Get her to the Olympics. She earned it

New game. GYMTRUTHTELLER@GMAIL.COM is to post on the blog. I am not approving people who don’t post to read when the blog goes private again.

The Federation of Gymnastics made this mistake and now they need to rectify it. There is a petition for Szekely Zoja to be given back the spot she earned to be an Olympian. I am opening the blog again for the sole purpose of spreading this petition. The explanation for what happened is below the gymnast’s statement.

This is Szekely Zoja’s twitter. If you have a twitter send the girl some support. @SzekelyZoja

Here is her statement. She is clearly not happy. I wouldn’t know this gymnast from a hole in the wall but the spirit for which the Olympic games is supposed to exist is not being shown here. The FIG ( @gymnastics ) screwed up. And they are trying to hide the fact they made the mistake by claiming once the competition and reserves are set they cannot be changed. We all know that is bull shit because the FIG had a set of rules they have been using for years that says, the top 8 (2 per country) make the Even final, and once a gymnast pulls out, the next in line takes their place. Once Joscelyn Roberson pulled out, the 2 per Country rule didn’t apply anymore because two Americans didn’t make the finals. Only one did (Simone) Ellie took her place. When Jessica Gadirova pulled out the next spot belonged to Leanne Wong. She was the 10th. HERE ARE THE RESULTS

The FIG cannot get away with making a mistake and ruining a person’s dreams. Either award both the girls the spot or give back the spot to its rightful owner, Szekely Zoja
