The Omaha Supernovas made history on Saturday Mat 18th, 2024 becoming the first team to ever win the Professional Volleyball Federation Championship.

The Supernovas swept the Grand Rapids Rise in three games to claim the title. They won by scores of 25-13,26-24 and 25-22. The title also came with a $1 Million-dollar bonus.

Sydney Hilley of the Supernovas was named Postseason MVP and earned a bonus of $10,000.

Despite the loss the Rise ended the season of the top team and favorites to win the title the Atlanta Vibe in the semifinals. So, finishing second when projected to finish fourth is pretty good.

Can Omaha repeat as champions in 2025? It might be a bit harder with expansion bring three new teams into the federation next year. However, being the first ever league champions is something for the Supernovas to celebrate!
