Sunday, Sep 22 Match Day!
Update: Just realized that I didn’t have links today. I wrote this too far out, I guess. Updating.
Centenary does their scores backwards for losses, too. Maybe it’s a website provider thing.
Rhodes and UMHB are 1-1. I have to be shutting down and will update scores probably tomorrow.
UMHB is playing with fire but not burned today as they win 3-2.
Halfway home! Decker and Dany await! Met a very nice black cat while on vacation. Living large at the all-inclusive resort.
In case you stumble across the post now that I’ve updated it, welcome. You know all three of these matches interest me as I wait for my connecting flight. I mentioned how UMHB is playing with fire and that’s the balance you have to measure with these schedules in an NPI world. Looking at the CTX/Hendrix match, I was struck how these types of matches are important not only to the teams playing but teams playing them (future and past). Southwestern plays Concordia twice but I don’t think they play Hendrix. Well, this result helps teams like SU. Hurts teams that only play Hendrix and not CTX. (Assume these teams all live in a vacuum because other matches obviously change things, too.) Finally, we have the two SCAC teams that were winless going into today’s match. Dallas has looked better and has come close to an upset this season while Centenary hasn’t seem to really get going, yet. So, maybe no surprise that Dallas wins this.
That concludes my update. Hopefully, I will have a normal week starting on Monday although I’m dreading the Top 25 and the research needed for that.
Random Thoughts: Travel day for me. Not sure when/if updates will happen.
Hendrix is hosting a small tournament, which is where our first two matches will be played. It feels like these teams play each other every week.
Centenary plays at Dallas in a conference match. Writing this over a week early but this could be the first win for one of these teams.
