Sunday, Sep. 12 Match Day!

Updates: Both the varsity and junior varsity Pacific teams played Mills today. Both won in sweeps.

Nationally ranked results not including West teams:

Concordia (WI) upset #9 Transylvania #16 Chicago beat Concordia (WI)

Watched a bit of the Chicago match and sometimes it’s really tough to judge a team based on a video stream. They don’t look that strong but maybe that’s just the theme this year. Slow starts by everyone.

Random Thoughts: Light day. Mills College playing for a second day going against Pacific. Tough weekend for the Oregon schools. They have their traditional tournament but could only get Illinois College to attend. Then they got hit with the C-Word. So only Mills College made the trip. I’d love to see the tournament going full tilt next season. It’s a catch-22 in some regards. The better the conference does nationally (specifically the Oregon schools) the more likely they are to attract teams. The reason for the tournament is to save on travel. Less travel, the less likely you are to create a better national reputation. Creative minds needed here.
