Steelers Friday 11/22/24

Didn’t we just do one of these this week? For this edition we go over the matchup with the Browns from Thursday night football.
Well, the result was embarrassing. No reason why they should have gone from beating the Baltimore Ravens to losing to the Browns.
It was another slow start to the offense with just six points through three quarters. However, a strong fourth where they scored 13 points put them in line to win the game. Yet Cleveland would score the winning touchdown on a Nick Chubb 2- yard with 57 seconds left to steal the win from the favored division rivals.
Russell Wilson completed 21 of 28 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown. Yet was sacked four times. Jaylen Warren ran the ball 11 times for 45 yards and a touchdown. Calvin Austin III had three catches for 78 yards and a score.
On defense they had one sack and one interception. While they limited Chubb to just 59 yards on 20 carries, he did score twice. Jerry Jeudy caught six passes for 85 yards to lead the Browns in receiving. Jameis Winston went 18 of 27 passing for 219 yards and a touchdown in the win.
Pittsburgh falls to 8-3 after the loss with Cleveland improving to 3-8. Pittsburgh is still in first place in the AFC North but is 1-1 in division games now. The Steelers five-game winning streak was also snapped with this loss.
It’s the type of game though even if they would have won, you have to be worried. Why are you losing to bad teams? Why do teams you should crush keep it close even if they lose? This is the kind of game that shows there’s work to do if they want to make noise come playoff time.
The two teams will meet again on December 8th, 2024. However up next for the Steelers an under.500 Cincinnati Bengals on the road. Could it be another bad loss, or will they right the ship and beat a team they should be favored against?
