Steeler Tuesday 10/29/24

The Steelers face the Giants on Monday Night Football. As a result the weekly Steeler Monday post becomes Steeler Tuesday. Can the black and Gold take down a team from New York for the second week in a row? Will they head into their bye week on a winning streak?
In fact, they will as they bested the Giants 26-18. This improves their record to 6-2 and they are in first place in the AFC North division.
Russell Wilson made his second start of the season. He went 20-28 passing for 278 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions. He was sacked four times though. Najee Harris had another game rushing over 100 yards. He finished with 19 carries for a season-high 114 yards. It’s his third game in a row rushing for 100 yards or more. George Pickens caught four passes for 74 yards. Calvin Austin III caught a pair of touchdown passes as well.
On defense they sacked Daniel Jones four times and saw him throw an interception. However, they did allow both a 100-yard rusher and receiver. Tyrone Tracy Jr ran for 145 yards and touchdown while Darius Slayton caught four passes for 108 yards. Yet the defense played well enough to preserve the victory.
It’s a typical Steeler formula win. Nothing great and flashy, but the win, nevertheless. It might have been nice to have it not be so close, but it still counts. All that matters is the winning streak hits three games heading into the bye week and tough matchup against the Washington Commanders.
