Steeler Monday 9/23/24

After two games on the road the Steelers finally play their first home game of the 2024 season. With a matchup between a pair of 2-0 teams in the Chargers and Steelers who would come out on top and keep their record undefeated?
Behind a season high 20 points the Steelers came out ahead 20-10.
The defense continues to be good allowing just 26 points over three games. They also had five sacks for 42 yards.
The offense is serviceable. Justin Fields went 25 of 32 for 245 yards a touchdown and an interception. He is doing a good job not throwing interceptions as that was his first and only though three games. Najee Harris ran for 70 yards on 18 carries. He still has yet to score a touchdown though.
Calvin Austin III caught four of the five passes thrown to him for 95 yards and a score. The touchdown came on a 55-yard pass from Fields.
The win kind of just keeps the recipe, win lower scoring games with defense and not turning the ball over. They have done that in the first three games of the season. They aren’t flashy, but they are effective.
The Steelers sit atop the AFC North for another week. Now onto Indianapolis next week.
