Starting to Feel Like Fall! Sat Chat 10-7-23 (and this weeks #sketchbookfloozy challenge photos!)
Hi friends! After a week of summer-like temps, it is starting to cool off and feel like autumn. The leaves are turning glorious shades of orange, red, and yellow and they are even beginning to fall. I got a chance to take my paddleboard out to the marsh this week and paint. I’ll share my painting as well as lots of reference photos you can use at the end of the post but first, here is this week’s Sat Chat!
Stuff I mentioned:
Sadly my painting at the covered bridge plan yesterday didn’t happen due to cold, drizzly weather up north but my friend Angela, who lives up there, took some reference photos for me to use. Hopefully, I will manage to do some paintings from them soon!

FREE Michaels’s class on 10/13/23 Live on zoom (USA and Canada only it seems but the replay will be available to everyone a few days later on Michaels YouTube channel.)
Earlier this week I took a bunch of reference photos for you to use for the #sketchbookfloozy challenge. Some people are offended by this name but I think it’s a riot! If you have multiple sketchbooks going and you can’t commit to one then you are a “sketchbook floozy” and the goal of this challenge is to help you use them up! If you like any of the photos feel free to paint them and use the #sketchbookfloozy on social media!

And here is the painting I created on my paddleboard. It was fun but I think I’ll use my kayak next time!

I hope you have a lovely weekend and til next time happy crafting!
