St. Olaf has trailed Saint Mary’s in the first two regional rankings, but the Oles did their best to reverse that trend with a 3-1 home win over the Cardinals. Kelly Prunty had 60 assists and Kim Smisek had 24 kills in the victory, which secured the MIAC Tournament No. 3 seed for the Oles.

So, the top three seeds are accounted for with either Saint Benedict or St. Thomas being Nos. 1 and 2 (order is TBD, but CSB has the upper hand with its win over UST).

With one conference match to go for each team, Saint Mary’s is now in a fight for one of the remaining three MIAC tourney entries.

Updated MIAC standings #1/2 Saint Benedict 9-1 23-5 #1/2 St. Thomas 9-1 23-6 #3 St. Olaf 8-2 24-3 Augsburg 6-4 17-12 Concordia 6-4 13-8 Saint Mary’s 5-5 20-8 St. Catherine 5-5 17-12 Bethel 4-6 13-15 Carleton 3-7 13-10 Gustavus 3-7 11-16 Hamline 2-8 14-13 Macalester 0-10 6-16
