YESTERDAY I remember watching this show when I was younger.  The montages gave me a little adrenaline rush.  It confirmed I made the right choice to be involved in sport.  It is where I wanted to be.  There are so many great moments that only sport can produce.  It can inspire and motivate.

TODAY Unfortunately, I have not watched the show for a number of years due to various reasons (travel, work and rarely watching TV on actual TV).  I managed to watch SPOTY2011 and it did not disappoint.  Again, the montages gave me a little adrenaline rush.  (After I helped create a basketball motivational video, you certainly get to see the artistry of video editing with selected clips, transitions and timings with the music).  I was happy that Mark Cavendish won the inaugural award . It was fully deserved because the man is a beast!

THE NEED FOR SUPPORT In Mark Cavendish’s acceptance speech (see this link), he again mentioned that he could not have done it without the help of others.  It was mainly aimed towards the other cyclists and coaches in the team but I am sure it includes the support staff too.  Now right, I am working super hard right now so in the near future I am able to help somebody like Mark Cavendish achieve greatness.

AND TOMORROW London 2012!  I am not going to be there as an analyst but I am as a spectator!  Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Finals here I come!  I cannae wait!
