Sock Puppets, College Tours and Compost! Sat Chat 4/2/22

Hi friends! Busy week! How are you doing? I know I am a day late posting Sat Chat to my blog, it’s been a busy weekend and it is finally starting to feel like spring! It would be a nice day to get some yard work done but I heard if you rake too early you can disturb bees in hibernation and I don’t want to do that so laziness for the win!

Stuff I mentioned:

  • My new Watercolor Crayon Workshop is launched and you can save 50% with my Launch special! Use coupon code: CRAYON50 if the discount doesn’t appear automatically.

  • There is a new colored pencil project up in Critique Club

  • Travel palettes I will compare soon, specifically how they work for gouache Plein air painting: Jerry Q Swivel palette and the Leakproof palette with silicone pop-out cup and lanyard (with brushes)

  • Liquitex clear gesso: for the love of all things crafty go with Liquatex and save yourself the heartache. 😆

  • Compost tumbler info: I had several people ask about the timber I have, I couldn’t find the exact one but I have a single chamber one and if I were to do it over I would get a dual-chamber one so I can have one side making new compost and one side with the seasoned compost dirt to pull from. They have come down in price too so that’s good. We’ve had ours for 10 years and it is still going strong! I highly recommend them over a compost heap.

In other news, the girls’ college days went well and my son started a new job. The project grad talent show was awesome as well! The days are packed! Till next time Happy crafting!
