Skenes Shutdown for Season

It’s been quite a ride watching Paul Skenes go from college prospect to the top pick in the draft, to signing and making his first career start. Then he was promoted to Double-A and made a pair of starts there. However, he won’t pitch in anymore organized games in 2023. The Pirates have shut him down for the rest of the season.

It’s a little disappointing as I think we was going to make one more start. However, it will be good to rest the arm a bit and look forward to 2024.
