Shari and Lamb Chop in New York Through Thursday

Forgive the barebones nature of this post but I only just got tipped off that the 2023 documentary Shari and Lamb Chop is playing at the Quad in New York through Thursday. So this is not a review — no time for that now! Like, if you run now, you can catch it today, but you still have two additional days after that (it’s been held over a week through July 31). But it’s well timed — it’s been a decade since my original post on Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop, though I’ve recently been writing about her again for my upcoming book. I hope to catch it. It’s directed by Lisa D’Apolito, who made the 2018 Gilda Radner documentary Love, Gilda.

New Yorkers, get the Quad schedule here.

And for those who want to follow where the film plays next, check out the web site of Lamb Chop’s official partner for the past quarter century, Mallory Lewis, Shari’s daughter.

The great Julie Klausner interviews both Lewis and D’Apolito on her podcast show How Was Your Weekhere.

And lastly, for more info on the movie, see the official Shari and Lamb Chop movie web site here.
