We’re seeing potato leafhoppers in New Hampshire now (last week of June, 2016), and it’s time to scout your fields. Hopperburn is a problem not only on potato, but also on eggplants and several legume crops (beans, peanut, alfalfa), among many others. The article and photos that I posted last year sums it up nicely: check it out here.

Light green nymphs (circled) on the underside of a potato leaf that is showing hopperburn. They are tiny – there are at least 3 more visible ones that I didn’t circle!
