Scarecrows (1988)

Director: William Wesley

Starring: Ted Vernon, Michael David Simms, Richard Vidan

Criminals hijack a plane and force the pilot and his daughter to fly them to Mexico. However, an unexpected landing finds them in a cemetery inhabited by killer scarecrows.

What the hell was this all about? ‘Scarecrows’ is everything you expect from a (bad) B-movie: bad dialogue, bad lighting, bad effects, bad acting (especially Victoria Christian as Kellie), bad sound effects, and a premise as thin as icing on a Christmas cake!

So, this is about a robbery gone wrong. One guy decided he wanted the money all for himself, only to be pursued by the rest of the gang for a while. Until the Scarecrows arrive… But nothing here makes any sense. The film tells us too little about the scarecrows. We can only assume they’re demonic – as the characters point out again and again and again.

I’m sorry, I just didn’t get this. This was just boring, and the scarecrows weren’t scary at all…ugh….

Would I watch it again? No.
